Quality at Speed: Accelerating Development of Critical Large-Scale Additive Components
Webinar | Quality at Speed: Accelerating Development of Critical Large-Scale Additive Components
DEEP Manufacturing joined Plastometrex in a webinar to explore how we develop new Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) processes more efficiently while maintaining confidence in material performance.
Presented by Marcus Ng, Technology Development Lead, the session explained DEEP Manufacturing's approach to process optimisation, material development and validation, and how Profilometry-based Indentation Plastometry (PIP) is helping to accelerate development workflows by providing earlier insight into mechanical properties.
The session also featured the Digitally Enabled Efficient Propeller (D.E.E.P.) project as a case study, showing how DEEP Manufacturing developed Nickel Aluminium Bronze build parameters, assessed material performance throughout development and applied these learnings to the manufacture of a large-scale propeller.
Watch the recording to learn more about our development methodology, the role of PIP in accelerating process development, and the lessons learned from one of our latest large-scale additive manufacturing projects, the NAB propeller.
